Last updated: October 9, 2026

FitnestWork publishes practical guides on workouts, nutrition, walking and everyday wellness. This page explains how our articles are researched, written, checked and kept up to date, so you can judge the information for yourself.

Who writes our content

Every article shows a byline that links to the author’s profile. Author profiles list the person’s relevant training or credentials. We do not describe anyone as a certified trainer, dietitian or medical professional unless they hold that credential.

How we research

  • We start from primary and authoritative sources: U.S. government health agencies (such as the CDC, NIH, USDA and FDA), professional organizations, and peer-reviewed research.
  • Numbers such as step counts, protein amounts and nutrient values are checked against the source they come from, and the source is listed at the end of the article.
  • Where research is limited or mixed, we say so instead of overstating the evidence.
  • We avoid promising specific results. Fitness and weight changes vary from person to person.

Fact-checking and review

Before publishing, each article is checked for accuracy against its listed sources, for clear safety notes, and for advice that could be unsafe for some readers. An article is labeled “Reviewed by” or “medically reviewed” only when a named, credentialed reviewer has actually checked it; that reviewer’s name and credentials appear on the article.

Sources and citations

Articles end with a source list that links to the specific pages used. We prefer recent guidance and update the source list when we revise an article.

Updates and corrections

We review published articles regularly and update them when guidance changes. The date at the top of an article shows when it was last updated. If you spot an error, email hello@fitnestwork.com with the article link and what needs correcting. We review every report, and meaningful corrections are noted in the article.

Independence and advertising

Our editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers or brands. If we ever earn money from links or partnerships, we will disclose it as described in our Affiliate Disclosure.
